These are the machines that we recommend for those that are buying a water ionizer for the claimed health benefits. If you are serious about health and that is why you are looking for a machine, then a four star machine is for you.

These are good performing machines at fair prices. We may have given them a 3 star rating because of some of their features or lack there of.

These machines are slightly better than the machines with only one star, but if you review the buyers guide (link this) then you should see why they only received 2 stars.

We decided to test the Tyent machines because on paper they seemed like good machines. The new Tyent 7070 Turbo made some bold claims, so we were anxious to see if it was truth or hype. A while back, we had the pleasure of testing the 7070 Standard edition. You can learn more about this machine in our Seeing is Believing section. To our pleasure, the 7070 TURBO model earned our Editors Choice award in our “Best of The Best” category. The Tyent USA line of machines ranked high in almost every categories of testing. The 7070 Turbo is feature rich, a good performer, and fairly priced. If you can afford it and you want the best, at the moment, nothing else compares in this class.

EOS, the makers of the KYK Genesis ™ have decided to bring you the all new IonQuench 8080. IonQuench is the United States component of EOS’s direct sales team. EOS has replaced the production of the KYK Genesis ™ with this fantastic machine. It is almost identical to the KYK Genesis ™ except it has a better warranty, better priced smart filters, and it is a lot nicer to look at. The service for this machine will likely be superior as well. The IonQuench 8080 is the only 7 plate machine that we found that is under $2000.00 along with the KYK Genesis ™ which EOS no longer produces. With 7 huge plates and enough power to support them, the IonQuench machine earned our “Best in Class” award for our “Best Value” category. If you are looking for a great value and machine that will rival any machine out there with the exception of the Tyent 7070 TURBO and the Enagic SD-501, then this is the machine for you. The Tyent 7070 TURBO and the Enagic SD-501 are still the only two machine capable of producing “super water” consistently. The Enagic does this with a chemical, and the Tyent 7070 TURBO does it with huge plates and a whole lot of power. In the $2000.00 and under category, the IonQuench should be on your short list along with the Tyent 7070 STANDARD version.

The Jupiter line of machines are feature rich, but their top of the line unit the Jupiter Aquarius™ didn’t quite meet our expectations in our field test. You can watch a video on our test in the Seeing is Believing section of this web site. The Jupiter and Ionways brand (same manufacture) just can’t compete with the 7 plate machines on the market. To date there still isn’t a 7 plate Jupiter or Ionways machine, and they still use transformers. That being said, if you want a good looking machine at a fair price, then Jupiter may be for you. Jupiter recently funded what they call an “independent” video comparison. It should be said, that none of these findings on their video jive with our findings. How could they? A five plate machine with 85 watts will never compete with a 7 plate machine with greater wattage. Not a bad line of machines for the budget conscious, but we were not impressed with neither Jupiter nor IonWays.

The life line of machines tested well in most of our test as well. They have several gimmicks like a UV light which serves no purpose because the electrolysis process kills any living bacteria, and their warranty is full of stipulations. Life Ionizers is a private label that has switched manufacturers 3 times in the last 5 years. The current line of machines is pretty strong performers, and their machines are fairly priced and have good features. The life machines along with the Tyent and the IonQuench ranked high in most of our tests. The Life machine did leave some things to be desired, like the filters which are around half the size of some of the competing machines so you will need an additional pre filter which will be an ongoing extra expense.

Enagic is the only company that still hasn’t gone chemical free. Don’t get us wrong, the machine performs, but the chemical injector is a big turn off. We believe that Enagic has been exposed in the industry, and we believe that most people will want to keep their families chemical free. We weren’t ecstatic that it has only one filter, and we weren’t crazy about the manual flow control. But overall this is a decent machine. We didn’t let the $3800.00 price tag skew our opinion of it, but we feel there are better options for the money.Back to top
